Arsenal to move for 60M Rated 26 goals La Liga Target Man Who Is ‘Highly Rated’ By Edu

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, according to The Athletic.

The Swedish international is said to be “highly rated” by Technical Director Edu and his recruitment department.

We listed the 21-year-old as a potential option to replace Alexandre Lacazette in an article earlier this week and it appears the Gunners are serious about going after the forward, who scored 26 goals and in La Liga last season.

There are a couple of major obstacles to overcome, though, if the London club are to make a bid for Isak. He currently has a €70m (£60m) release clause while his previous club Borussia Dortmund have a €30m (£26m) buyback option.

It is believed the Bundesliga club may even consider re-signing the Swede before selling him on for a profit, so a deal to bring the player to the Emirates could get complicated.

Of course, a lot will depend on the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah. Both strikers have one year remaining on their current contracts and could be sold this summer.
