Aston Villa players rated vs Southampton

Aston Villa entertained Southampton at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in the Premier League. He did his fair share of defending and was there at the right place to open the goal-scoring for Aston Villa just before the half-time break.

CM: Boubacar Kamara – 7/10

The Frenchman offered decent protection for his teammates at the back but could last only 43 minutes.

CM: John McGinn – 7.5/10

McGinn didn’t shy away from a tackle and had some encouraging moments in the opponent’s half.

He was always willing to fight for the ball but there was no goal for him tonight.
