Bukayo Saka sells Arsenal teammates in FPL ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League title clash with Manchester City

Bukayo Saka made some curious modifications to his Fantasy Premier League team ahead of Arsenal’s title fight with Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

The encounter at the Etihad Stadium has been considered as a must-win for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are five points clear at the top of the Premier League but have played two more fixtures than Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions.

Saka, meanwhile, is also flying high in an FPL league which comprises his Arsenal teammates Mohamed Elneny, Rob Holding and Eddie Nketiah.

But ahead of gameweek 33 in which Arsenal take on City, Saka chose to sell Arsenal teammate Gabriel Martinelli and bring Marcus Rashford into his FPL side, with Manchester United playing away to Tottenham on Thursday.

Saka, who owns himself on his FPL team, has opted to sit Oleksandr Zinchenko and keep him as third sub.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s championship showdown, Arteta termed the encounter as a ‘incredible opportunity’ for his squad and questioned a suggestion that playing City at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season would have benefitted his side.

‘They’ve been in tremendous form but look where we are in the table,’ Arteta remarked.

‘That shows we’ve been in excellent shape as well. That’s why we are where we are.

‘It’s going to be a tough night and assignment but the potential is amazing for us.

‘We knew from the onset, if you want to win a Premier League, you have to go to Spurs and beat them. You have to go to Chelsea and you have to beat them.

‘You have to go away from home and win. This is what we’ve been doing. This is why we’re here. Now you have to go to City and you have to beat them.”’
