Leeds United set to make £18m bid for this talent

In a recent segment of Patreon, journalist Alan Nixon revealed that Leeds United are ready to launch an £18m move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-chan. It has been stated that the Whites are eyeing a late move for the Wolves attacker before the transfer deadline on Thursday.

Hee-chan’s Up and Down Spell At The Molineux Stadium

Hee-chan has been far from prolific for Wolves over the past year but has done well to put in a few decent displays as the focal point of their attack. The South Korea international has found the back of the net five times and grabbed a couple of assists in 36 appearances for the West Midlands club thus far.

The 26-year-old deserves a pat on the back for averaging 0.9 shots, 0.5 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He was even tidy when linking up play with others around him in the final third, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 81% in the English top tier (stats via whoscored).

Hee-Chan has to figure out a way to be more consistent in the final third if he wants to taste success at the highest level. Hence, a change of scenery to join Leeds could offer him more first-team starts in the coming seasons.

Is Hee-chan A Good Choice For Leeds United Boss Jesse Marsch?

Hee-chan can create space for himself to get a few shots on target. He can be a decent finisher in front of the opposition goal when he is playing with confidence on the pitch. The South Korean talent is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty box.

Recruiting Hee-chan would be a good move for the Whites this month as he will inject more firepower into Jesse Marsch’s attack. He will serve as a good back-up to Patrick Bamford at the West Yorkshire club.

At 26, the South Korean sensation is about to enter his prime and could give his best years to Leeds United if Marsch can devise a way to snap him up before the transfer deadline on Thursday.

Hee-chan will not only give the Whites more options in attack but also help them make a good cup run in one of the domestic cup competitions over the next few years. With things considered, Marsch should focus on getting a deal done for the Wolves striker during this summer transfer window.
