Man Utd & Arsenal continue transfer battle over £25m star, no threat from Liverpool or West Ham

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly still interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, who is valued at just £25 million.
In a boost for these clubs, it appears that they will not face any competition from Liverpool or West Ham, with CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs dismissing their rumoured interest in the Belgian international.
Manchester United and Arsenal continue to pursue Youri Tielemans. 25m is a bargain price. Nothing much in the West Ham links. David Moyes admires Tielemans but Hammers not currently frontrunners. There is no truth in repeated Liverpool links. #LFC have other priorities.

Liverpool’s failure to pursue Tielemans is surprising, as the 24-year-old appears to be a good long-term replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, but perhaps Jurgen Klopp has other plans for that position.
Arsenal also has a lack of depth in the middle of the park behind Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka, who have both been inconsistent in what has been another underwhelming season at the Emirates Stadium, even if a top-four finish remains within reach.
West Ham, meanwhile, would undoubtedly consider Tielemans to be a good signing, particularly as they may struggle to keep hold of Declan Rice in midfield, but they may find it difficult to persuade the player that a move from the King Power Stadium to the London Stadium would be sufficient.
The Red Devils will be desperate to win silverware again, and they will almost certainly need to strengthen in midfield to do so. Tielemans could be an ideal replacement for Paul Pogba, who is nearing the end of his contract.
